Soul Foodies ATL
Performance Upgrade Website
Summary
DynamiX is excited to partner with Soul Foodies ATL to build a clean, high quality new website that matches the growth of the business and gives customers a better reason to order. The site will be built on DynamiX's exclusive Octane platform, a modern, purpose built engine designed for speed, stability, and simple day to day management, replacing the templated, ChowNow branded Squarespace site the team is working with today.
This project is a performance upgrade. Soul Foodies likes its existing branding, so the new site carries that identity forward with a similar structure and a cleaner, more polished presentation built around the professional photography the team already has. Ease of management is a top priority for the owner, so full training in Octane is built into the process before launch. Online ordering will continue to run through the restaurant's existing third party platform using an embedded script, which means the new site does not need to process orders or payments directly.
Site Goals
- Rebuild the existing 5 page structure on Octane for a faster, more stable, and easier to manage foundation, with room to grow into a blog, catering, and merchandise pages
- Build the site around Soul Foodies' own branding, professional photography, and scratch kitchen story, minimizing ChowNow branding wherever possible. Anything contained within the embedded ordering script itself remains controlled by ChowNow and cannot be altered on our end
- Keep online ordering front and center through an embedded script, with analytics in place so traffic and order growth can be measured
The Big Challenges We Plan To Solve For
Site Speed and Codebase
The Soul Foodies ATL's current score of a 50/100 on mobile is a major challenge to the site's ranking and performance, and will likely impact site traffic heavily in a negative way today.
Pages Indexed By Google
Soul Foodies ATL currently has 6 pages indexed by Google. During pre-development, our team will review each page before incorporating into the new site experience, and recommend transitioning any low value content (tag pages, categories, filler or poorly tailored local pages) into better versions or removal.
The Big Goal:
Turn Soul Foodies' website into a fast, brand forward ordering hub that grows traffic and orders.

Timeline Of A Performance Upgrade Build
Taking a Build, Launch Refine Approach
Based on our discussion and the current state of your site, our aim is to rapidly create an experience that is similar in content to your current website, but that can be quickly moved forward as new content is created between our two teams.
This process is outlined below, and is optimal for search engine efficacy.
Build
Typical Timeline: 2 Weeks
Our aim is to create a core site experience designed for both today and the future, adding the ability to create additional layouts over time via our Layout Store. We will be leveraging native features to keep costs and timeline as brief as possible.
Launch
Typical Timeline: 1 Week
As soon as the site is in a place where we have content equivalence, we will launch the new site experience so that Google has time to re-index, and to allow search engines to see your new content as it is added to the site experience.
Refine
If And As Needed
Now that the site is live, we can optionally focus on adding additional concepts to the site experience, such as a deeper home page story, additional photography/videography from your team and deeper details on what makes your business stand out.
