Summary
The Shumate Heating and Air site has been live for 5+ years, and it's time to help bring the site forward with new features and capabilities! Further, the site can benefit from the experience of NickB and his team in remediating some content challenges, and we have factored this into the plan in various places. Given the established vision of the brand and your current stature in organic traffic, we opted not to explore any highly complex (shiny) features in this proposal, but are open to that discussion if warranted.
Modernizing Core Components
As we discussed during our Zoom together, there are several components that are working well, but that could be easier to adjust. Moving forward they will be moved into our most modern codebase and designed for your team to run with.
Reimagining The Home Page
As part of our work, we'll create a new home page experience and layout set designed to feel fresh and engaging to your visitors, while focusing on sending them to the best part of the site for their given needs.
Telling The Story
We will be bringing to bear the experience of our content strategist, Ben Allee to assist in revising your site's home page and value propositions. In parallel, NickB's team will assist in resolving SEO challenges and cleaning up pages.

Site Styler
As you saw during our call
together, Octane's Site Styler allows for sweeping changes to the look and feel of the
site experience, as well as smaller, nuance changes where appropriate. This
will be night and day compared to your current experience, and dramatically
better, faster and more nimble than any Wordpress or similar builder out there.
Layout Store
A brand new feature of our Octane software is the new Layout Store. This technology is designed to allow your team to add new features to the site without needing our support, both to fill in small gaps in areas and for broader and more interesting capabilities. As part of our work together on the new site, our team will integrate all current Layout Store layouts into the new site, currently over 150 components which can be utilized by our team or yours to continue expanding the site well into the future.
SEO Explorer
Our
exclusive SEO explorer lets you know where you stand in real time, pointing out
issues on pages across the website. We use it when building the site, and
you'll have access to keep it moving forward as content is added.
Audit Trail
We consider Octane to be a "single source of truth" for how a site is being worked on and improved over time, and have designed many features into the platform that allow for easy access to data that can assist in decision making and understanding.
- Input-Based: See any adjustments made to an input on a given page
simply by clicking on the history tool. You can use this area to revise back to
a previous version as well simply by clicking on the text and confirming!
- Page-Based: Want to see what changes have been made to a given page? This lives next to
each page and shows every adjustment since the moment the page was made.
- Global Trail: The left navigation bar includes a link to the site's global audit trail, which provides all changes made to the site and lets you filter by user.

Layout Store Inclusion
Octane's new Layout Store is a phenomenal technology stack designed to allow your site to do more without needing us to create custom components. Currently there are over 150 layouts inside the store, and more are being added regularly. We will add all current useful layouts during the build process for you.
Shumate Content Migration
DynamiX will now oversee the full content migration process for the new Shumate Heating and Air main website. As part of this effort, our team will migrate all existing blog articles and website pages that have received at least one visitor in the past twelve months. This brings the total number of pages to be migrated to 307. We recommend that Shumate engage a third-party SEO firm, such as Redbrick, to perform post-migration SEO optimization to ensure the site's search performance is fully maximized. Taking on content migration responsibilities will extend the overall project timeline; however, DynamiX will handle this phase promptly and maintain consistent communication with Shumate throughout the process to ensure transparency and progress visibility.
