Your team will continue leading the design direction in Figma, and our designer will review each round against our user experience best practices as it comes in. That review covers accessibility, color contrast, typography, and mobile behavior, and it includes flagging anything that could affect how easily your team can update content later. Because your team is driving the creative, our design phase moves much faster than a traditional build, though we will need the complete, approved set of designs in hand before any work moves into development. Building against a partial set risks rework, so locking the full design package first keeps the timeline protected. Any adjustments we recommend will be discussed with your team before we act on them.

Our development team will determine whether the best path forward is to add functionality to your existing Octane site or build a new site from the ground up, and we'll make that recommendation once we've reviewed the full design direction and page structure. Either way, our team is responsible for all content migration, so nothing falls to your staff. This phase includes building your custom mega menu and footer to match the design your team provides, along with the new module treatments needed to bring each page to life. Where an off the shelf module gets you where you want to go, we'll use it. Where the design calls for something we don't have, we'll build it.

Octane's new Layout Store is a phenomenal technology stack designed to allow your site to do more without needing us to create custom components. Currently there are over 400 layouts and themes inside the store, and more are being added regularly. We will add all current useful layouts during the build process for you.

The Styler Tool puts global control of fonts, colors, spacing, and button styles in your hands without touching code. Once we establish your design system during the build, your team can adjust styling across the entire site from a single place. If your brand evolves or you simply want to test a different treatment, you can make that change yourself and see it applied everywhere it belongs. This pairs directly with the Layout Store to give your team real independence over the look of the site.

Because the page count is changing and most URLs will be new, we'll build a complete redirect map to protect the search equity your current site has earned over the last six years. Before launch we'll test across browsers, devices, and screen sizes, verify all forms and integrations, confirm analytics and tag manager tracking, and run accessibility checks against the finished build. We'll also train your team on the new dashboard, the Layout Store, and the Styler Tool ahead of launch, so you're comfortable managing the site from day one rather than learning it after the fact. Launch happens on your existing domain and hosting, so there's no DNS disruption and no interruption to your team, and we'll stay close for support as you settle in.
