With a range of products, protection plans, and replacement parts, H2H Blinds has everything a developer, contractor, and homebuilder would need to run a successful project. This commercial audience has always been the primary customer, but the H2H team Recently, the company has decided to expand into the residential sector and wants a website that better serves that customer base.

Because the primary audience has always been homebuilders, the current website is not customer-focused and lacks a lot of useful content for home owners. A new website is needed to reach both target audiences.

We consider Octane to be a "single source of truth" for how a site is being worked on and improved over time, and have designed many features into the platform that allow for easy access to data that can assist in decision making and understanding.

  • Input-Based: See any adjustments made to an input on a given page simply by clicking on the history tool. You can use this area to revise back to a previous version as well simply by clicking on the text and confirming!
  • Page-Based: Want to see what changes have been made to a given page? This lives next to each page and shows every adjustment since the moment the page was made.
  • Global Trail: The left navigation bar includes a link to the site's global audit trail, which provides all changes made to the site and lets you filter by user.

Copywriting

Before the website development projects kicks off, our content specialist will meet with your team to learn more about who you are and what your goals are. Based on those initial discovery meetings, he will draft content that aligns with your brand identity and tells a compelling story of how you help your customers. Included in this proposal is the copy for your top three pages: Home, About Us, and Services page. These pages will serve as a solid foundation upon which you can grow your website, and business, even after we launch!

If additional content is needed, our content strategist can provide a quote based on how many pages are needed.

Creation of SEO Data

During your initial discovery meeting, our content strategist will discuss SEO with your team and conduct keyword research. This, along with website best practices, will inform his creation of title tags and meta description for your three new pages. Your project manager will add this to the new site and teach you how to use our Octane SEO Toolbox, so that you can access and manage SEO in the future!

Leveraging Native Assets

To reduce costs and expedite your project timeline, we will utilize built in capabilities called "Native Assets." These include layouts, such as a CTA bar, multi column list, content and image, image galleries, and more. Your project manager will place your new content into these native assets and your designer will style them according to your brand guidelines.

Additional Custom Pieces

Presently, there is no need for complex features, as the site is small and content is minimal. However, as your company and online presence grows, we can regroup, brainstorm, and scope additional features if desired. These features can include the interactive locations map with zip code search, image mapper, before/after slider, and more. If any form integrations are required, these will also be scoped as part of the additional custom development.

Layout Store Inclusion

Octane's new Layout Store is a phenomenal technology stack designed to allow your site to do more without needing us to create custom components. Currently there are over 150 layouts inside the store, and more are being added regularly. We will add all current useful layouts during the build process for you.
